How it works

Step 1

Contact the practice to make an appointment. You will probably be asked if you are self-pay or planning to claim from a insurance company and if so will be asked for the details. Most insurance companies require you to contact them for pre-authorisation. We will agree a convenient appointment time (social and un-social hours- see opening times) and explain the location and parking.

Step 2

You will have an assessment appointment where the clinician will take a detailed history, fully examine the area, explain the probable diagnosis and formulate the plan. Past medical history dates are always useful. The physical examination will require us to see the relevant part of your body and could require you to remove some clothing. Normally we will then progress to start treating the problem or providing an exercise plan.

Step 3

A follow up appointment may be recommended and can be booked as required. At the start of every appointment you will be asked for an update of your condition as this would always influence treatment.
